PRIVATE PARTIES & EVENTS

At The Mulberry not only do we have over 16 years of experience in hosting private parties
but we have the space and the equipment to make your special event even more special.
The pub is run by DJs and event/festival organisers who not only have the experience in
running festivals but also have years of experience in attending all the big music festivals
going back to the 90s!

Inside the pub we have a few rooms that can be given over for private use such as a large
games room, if pool, interactive darts etc is more your style. Outside we have various
options from intimate cabins to large areas of lawn with private bar and kitchen or our newly
developed Yard complete with a 1970s caravan converted into a fully functioning bar.

No party is complete without some food! We know peoples budgets are tighter in todays
world, so we have kept our options simple and within an affordable range. Click here for our
food options. We don’t insist on parties ordering food to enjoy our various areas!

Music or DJs can be provided by us to all the different areas of the pub and further
information on this can be discussed with our Sound & Light Director.

The Snug (Inside)

Inside our pub we have two rooms to the rear of the pub which we offer for private use. Both
are arranged with furniture for day to day trading but when removed we can hold parties of
up to 75 people. The rooms can be arranged to suit the customer from no furniture to a
modest amount of tables/chairs/sofas. There are French doors which lead out to our covered
and heated lower terrace where there is the option of a DJ booth or outside bar.

Minimum party size to book this area is 30 people.

The Games Room (Inside)

The Games Room is located on the first floor and is equipped with 2 pool table, 2 dart
boards (one interactive) and a foosball table, 2 large screens TVs and speakers.

This space is popular for office parties etc where the group wants a bit more than drinking
and eating and likes an activity. We have speakers up here so you can either listen to the
sport on the TVs, or enjoy the music we play throughout the pub or you can provide a playlist
and we will play on our sound system.

Minimum party size to book The Games Room is 15.

The Glade (Outside)

The Glade is located in our upper garden which is a large grassy area that has seating for
around 200 people. We have held many music festivals up here hosting DJs such as Seb
Fontaine to name one! There is also a fully equipped bar known as the Sunset Bar and The
Shack which functions as a kitchen.

 

The Shack can accommodate all sorts of different catering options, BBQs being the most
popular with our customers, but we do also own a hog roasting machine that produces the
best hog roast and crackling!

 

Again, there are options for music, we can provide a stage, or The Shack can be used if it is
not being used for food. Speakers and subs are available for hire and can be discussed
further with our Sound & Light Director. Alternatively, if your guest numbers are sufficient The
Glade can be used in conjunction with The Yard which is connected via a private staircase,
where you can have your own dancefloor and raised DJ booth!

 

This area can accommodate parties of up to 500 people! However, we section off areas
depending on party size. The Sunset Bar is only opened for parties of 75 people or more,
for parties less than this we can open it but staff costs will be charged to the customer.

The Yard (Outside)

The Yard is our newest development and without doubt the sexiest space for those who like
to dance! We have created a 90 sq m dance floor with a raised purpose-built DJ booth, a
covered area accommodating a converted 1970s caravan bar, with seating, living wall and
private loos. The Yard is connected to The Glade via private stairs so if you have a large
party and want a grassy area with our Sunset Bar and Shack serving food you can have it
all!

 

This area can accommodate up to 300 people (500 if The Glade is also used) but can be
used for less but we would not recommend for parties less than 75 as it may feel a bit
cavernous!

Music equipment and lighting is not provided as standard but can be hired through our
Sound and Light Director. We can provide DJs that can mix music to your taste, information
and pricing can be provided by our S&L Director.

 

We have links with a local marquee company who can provide a roof to the dance floor area
if required. The cost of this would need to be covered by the customer.

The Cabins (Outside)

The Cabins are located in our middle and upper terraces both of which have a speaker
connected to our pub system and are heated. There is one on the middle terrace that can
seat 24 people and the second is on the upper terrace and can seat 30 people.

The cabins are ideally suited for smaller parties who want a more informal feel with a “pub”
feel. The outside space immediately adjacent to the cabin can also be reserved for larger
parties.

We can also provide a speaker and cable for the customer to plug their device into to play
their own playlist.
